RULES

Homologation and Commissioning :
¤ The participating vessel must meet the regulations of the country of registration, concerning homologation and commissioning.

Collisions at sea :
¤ The rallies organized by the Club Transcaraibes are run under the international regulations concerning collisions at sea.

Liabilities :
¤ Each owner engaged, participates at any of the rallies organized by the Club Transcaraibes under his own responsibility or one of a skipper.
Master on board, he is, alone, in charge of safety and eventually rescue of crew and vessel.
¤ In case the owner or skipper decides to abandon the rally for whatever reason, he must immediately inform the Club Transcaraibes representative, in order to prevent eventual unnecessary research operations.

Insurances :
¤ The Club Transcaraibes disclaims liability for any accident which could occur during the rally at sea or on land.
¤ Each participant, owner or crew must subscribe an insurance covering this type of activity as well as a repatriation insurance for the navigation zones and visited countries.
¤ The boat owner must also subscribe a full insurance covering damages to the boat, crew and damages caused to third parties at sea or on land for the navigation zones and countries visited.
¤ The Club Transcaraibes disclaims any liability, generally speaking, concerning any dispute between owner, skipper or crew members concerning, insurance, expenses, cancellation for any reason, or unavailability of vessel, before or during the rally or any other dispute.

Admission :
¤ There is no limitation to boat size.
¤ There is no minimum number of crew members, even if we do not recommend single handed navigation for obvious safety reasons.
¤ You must accept to hoist the Club Transcaraibes banner at sea and at stopovers.
¤ Your vessel should be dressed over all at stopovers to honour our hosts.
¤ In case of lack of wind, it is required to maintain sails up at least two hours after departure for the local media to do their job.

Registration :
¤ Payment of the registration fee is by no way a service contract but a financial participation to the organization and promotion costs of the selected event.
¤ In order to participate, each one must be member of the Club Transcaraibes and must have settled the club fee for the year of the event.
¤ Club Transcaraibes has the right to refuse a registration without justification, as stipulated by the international sport code.
¤ In case of cancellation, the vessel registration costs are never reimbursed but transferred to the following year.
Club fee is lost.

Disqualification :
¤ Will be considered " disqualified " any vessel arriving at any stopover with more than ten hours delay.

Exclusion :
¤ The Club Transcaraibes is entitled to refuse participation to any boat which would not comply with the above mentioned rules.
¤ The Club Transcaraibes has the right to exclude any boat, if the crew´s behaviour offends naval etiquette.

Disputes :
¤ The rules in French prevail over translations.
¤ Any dispute will be arbitrated by the " Tribunal d'Instance" of Pointe à Pitre in Guadeloupe.F.W.I
